Well I've been very impressed so far and it's so easy to increase the tension. Long term only time will tell.

Hi Smileamyl, the cheapest I found at the time was Harrodhorticultural. I've lost count of the times I snapped wire while tensioning it (Grrr !), but it's a cinch with this.

This looks a great idea! Half of my twisted wires worked loose last year! I need to get some stronger wire and some of these gadgets! Just remembered that this time last year I was hand painting the whole fence!! Thank goodness I dont have to do that again for a while!

Lol... Painting fences (with a brush) is pretty mind numbing isn't it ? Hopefully mine will be covered in plants and will never need doing again - that's the plan anyway ! :-)
