Below the hosta are some Houttuyinia corbota that I am concerned might get out of control. Understand they are quite aggresive.

Bernie I just looked at your web site. It's spectacular. Looks like you must have a climate like Florida (my winter home) as I see a lot of the plants that are used here. Your porch looks so inviting.....

Thanks Valerie - yes it's a hot, dry, humid spot over here for most of the year so I grow a lot of heat and drought hardy plants. We see a lot of sunny days here ... we've just started our summer, so it's going to get very hot over the next couple of months. I'll be trying my best to get the more tender plants through the summer ... fingers crossed! We do spend quite a bit of the summer sitting out on the verandah - when there's a breeze!
