It had to be done .. and we've just harvested a new crop of walnuts. The pruning has encouraged so much new growth, it is scheduled for another nip and tuck next spring.

Looks very hard work harvesting those walnuts... They need lot's of cups of tea.

Hi Louise,
Let's just say they have both had a bit of training. One is my partner (feet firmly on the ground), the other is a mate of his (useful eh?).
We have also had a very wet November and beg. of December over here, with only the occasional blue sky. We have clay soil and it just clings to shoes when it is this wet.

I'm envious of that clear blue sky ..... the sky over me has been nothing but grey and leaking for the past month :-(((
