That's a lovely plant! It's a beautiful colour and it's great to have something flowering in the winter!

Yes, but unfortunately it only had one flower this year.

Ah....well that makes it even more precious! Can I recommend an abutilon for your conservatory. I have mine out all summer, May - Sept. I chop it hard back at about July, and bring it indoors in Sept. where it flowers prolifically all winter. I think it is just beginning to wind down to a rest right now. It was spectacular all over christmas and the yellow flowers cheer me up no end!

I might try that Karen or is it Susan. To have something cheerful at Christmas is a bonus isn't it.

It's Karen! Yes the abutilon never lets me down, it's still flowering away although I think it is winding down now - I think it deserves a rest! I grew some pelargoniums this year - hoping they would flower through the winter, but no. They are growing fine but no flowers at the moment. Perhaps they are the wrong kind being ivy leaved and scented rather than the more 'bedding' types.
