im glad this one survived the storms...has the weather died down now?

Sandra:

The leaves on this Philodendron are pretty tough
and heavy. It seems this plant was in a protected
area...I didn't see one torn leaf on it.

The weather has been clear and chilly since Tueday...and
today it's showery -- and will be until Sunday. Next week
it is suppose to turn dry and warm again. : > )

Sandra:

We're surviving well!

We always use inapropriate clothing here -- shorts and
t-shirts are the norm dress here all year. lol : > )

Sandra:

That's funny! I don't thing I've ever owned thermals. lol!

I wish you lots of fun with all your visitors during the
Christmas Holiday. : > )

Well, we had another pretty big storm late yesterday and
last night...with high winds and lots of rain. We're almost
ready to throw a party... we love it! Finally some good rains!
However, this storm was much warmer...and the for next 8
days it is suppose to be nice (68 - 75 degrees F/ 20 - 24
degrees C.) and sunny.

Love that plant..I hope they make a comeback to popularity up here. The nativists push hard for that, and the warm weather makes people try the tropicals and warm climate plants. A botanical battle

Yes, this is such a beautiful plant. I do hope they make a come back.

There will always be a botanical battle -- native plants vs. non-natives. Unfortunately, there's too many non-native plants/tree here to get rid of them. It would barren here if all the non-native Eucalyptus trees were to disappear.
