I'm not familliar with this plant. Does it flower or is it grown for it's leaves. They are lovely

Hi Hywel, yes it has flowered when we have had a very hot summer, the`re rather funny tubular flowers a reddish brown. I think its mainly grown for its lovely folliage. I`m glad mine`s survived I cut it right back and replanted it when I did the garden makeover and it was about 1m wide and 1.5m tall, this was about July time. But as you can see it has coped well so far. By the way this picture was actually taken around october.
