This partial lunar eclipse was only seen in some parts of the world lucky you.
There wont be another Blue moon till 2012: August 2, August 31
2015: July 2, July 31. The extra days accumulate, so every two or three years (7 times in the 19-year Metonic cycle), there is an extra full moon. sorry Amblice never happens more than once in any year

It was Sixpence thought there was another one this year....?

I read on the net there will be another in November this year, as we get them when two are in the same cycle so is classed as a blue moon, but does nt look blue only occationally when the gases occur to make it look blue.

This Blue Moon has nothing to do with colour, its to do with the days left over from the month adding up, so occassionally there are 2 moons in the same month. Sixpence.
