This Norfolk Island Pine is a few blocks from my house...it was swaying in the wind during a lull in the storm yesterday (Jan. 21, 2010) This narrow, nicely-shpaed tree is around 90 feet/ 27 meters tall...as it towers above all the other trees in area is about twice as tall as a telephone pole.

I can't imagine what this tree looked liked in the very strong winds we had...this pic was taken in a very calm part of that day's storm. Luckily, these trees are very wind tolerant. Remember, I have an 80 foot/ 25 meters tall Norfolk Island Pine in my front yard...and my tree is much wider.
