I picked out a few new addition for next year. I'm not the best seed starter, but I'm determined to run out of space outside this year, and seed is the best way to get all those plants going. :-)

Thank you Sixpence. Its labeled Black Out. The asiatics overwinter very well and I'm feeling confident I wont just see them once. :-) Also saw some painted daisies here last year that looked wonderful, so had to try. Most are new to me, other than the nasturtium and sweet pea. I'm excited to see them perform.

Thank you. I'm very excited to try some new things. I would say this will help me break out of color planning, but I don't think I can. :-)
I love Empress of India Sixpence! Its more tender than others and stays more bushy, but such a rich red on those dark leaves. I've been treasuring seed from my last, maybe those will go in this year too.

i think you'll find its this year not next....he he he
when will u be able to start?

Ah, Sandra I hadn't even thought of that, long winters....etc. :-)
I can put in long season things in april and I plan planting the rest in flats in the greenhouse in May. Will still be freezing at nights, but the seed will wake up naturally when it wants and be more acclimated right off the bat. That seems to work best.

i like to plant seeds in april/may too. they are definately happier waking in their own time...but buisness makes me cheat with a heated chamber for my tomatoes and herbs...

Those can be long season crops, ezpecially tomatos If I start them in april I wont even see a tomato. I get them started from a nursery.
