Pink Cedar is just starting to bloom. Of course, this tree is not a true cedar...but a tropical rain forest tree native to Southern India and Malaysia. Photo taken Feb. 13, 2010 in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA.

Thanks! Yes, this tree has large clusters of almost bottle brush-looking flowers. However, this extremely tall (more than 100 feet / 32 meters tall in cultivation and 180 feet/60 meters tall in its native land) tree belongs in the Legume family.
