Oh that looks so inviting, that must be one of the biggest palms I have seen.

How i wish i was on the beach,with the sun on my back,looking up at a lovely tree,instead of all wrapped up looking at the rain outside....lucky you...

Yes, Canary Island Palms can grow very tall here in California.

You would have loved it! However, at the water's edge it was very crowded! Many people sunbathing and in the water because of the large waves. : > )

I should be there not stuck here in the cold........

It looks there all those people are trying to get shade under the palm tree :o)))

Southern California is experiencing a heat wave that started last Friday...it is suppose to last until this coming Saturday or Sunday -- then it is suppose to rain by Monday. We still badly need the rain to break our long lasting drought.

Many people playing volleyball...I don't think they could receive enough shade from that tall Canary Island Palm. lol : > )

I could send you some rain in exchange, how about it?

That sounds good! We've had quite a bit of rain...however, we still need a lot more rain to relieve our drought.

The garden is sodden, never know it so bad, very disappointing, cannot get on with any building or gardening work at the moment, you need rain we need sun, what's difficult about that?

At least you'll have a very green garden...although, I'm sure it's difficult to work or plant in very wet soil. I hope it warms up and dries out soon for you!

We've had rain showers every 3 to 5 days...which is very good for our drought. However, in between showers we've had warm and sunny weather for gardening. Our spring starts here the beginning of February... even though, we have an all year around planting season. : > )

I think I am going to move to a more hospitable climate........
