I only had a small area that was really sunny enough for a greenhoues but this little one is superb.

Thanks Jo. I agree they are a bit on the pricey side. We had just had planning permission turned down for a kitchen extension ( because of the listed fir trees) so i splashed out on the greenhouse and new hen run instead.I prefer being in the garden anyway. Mind you B&Q have got some great prices at the moment on greenhouses. They also have raised bed kits which are very very cheap. I doubt whether you could actually buy the wood for the cost of the kits.

ooo pm me & hubby have just come back from B&Q and we bought one i cant wait to get it up now im like a kid at christmas, we got a 6x4 in old money and they are reduced from £189 to £160 i got some aluminium staging too £35 so not too bad, hubby gone to work now till 10pm or we would be putting it up now lol , we get wood for raised beds from a reclaimed timber yard, for a scaffolding plank i think we pay £3.50p so really cheap..

That is great Jo, I am so pleased. It really is just about the right time to get yourself sorted out for the new season. I went to B&Q today as well as I needed a new heated propagator, now on special at £9.95. I have used it to sow some coleus , rudbeckia and cosmos. Be sure to post a photo when you get the greenhouse up.

is this an elite compact? if it is does the rain come in at the 4 corners I have had a one installed and water pours in at each end

Hello Penny. Yes it is an Elite R type compact and i love it.. I haven't had any rain coming in at all. That sounds like a problem with the installation i would think. Mine sits on a base of slabs and David sealed the bottom on the base with cement, where it sits on the slabs. If the rain is coming in under the base then you could use a premixed mortar to seal it.
