Fountain at Bang Sai

Wow! I love this, i want one like this in my Garden. Loving the little

This is a great fountain! Cheerful splashing I'm betting too.

Well, it was just bamboo used to pipe the water round plus an interesting pot to hold the water - the best bit is definetly the little figures though which will be harder to match (you notice I've said 'will'!).

I have put it in my favs for now twiggy.

Thanks Yorkshire - Bang Sai is a huge place inspired by Queen Sirikit and the idea was to save the many disappearing skills in Thailand. So you wander round and find people spinning, weaving, embroidering, making pots and silver jewellery etc., The pot with it's little figures that this fountain is in was made by a lady we came across. The only disappointment was that we realised there wasn't any way we'd get anything back home so we settled for buying a cheerful Buddha figure for our daughter. By the time we got back to her apartment it had already lost one of it's feet! The whole place is like a huge garden with lots of water and fish and a few places to eat. :))

I think its wonderful to save skills, it sounds a very intresting place to isit

We sat on the floor to eat noodles much to the amusement of all the Thai people having their lunch. We were the only non-Thai people in the entire park so got a lot of very friendly attention particularly when I couldn't stand up again!
