This one is somewhat hardy. It's definitely not as tender as Aphelandra squarrosa or A. sinclairiana which can grow here outside...in protected spots.

This photo is of species Sanchezia nobilis var. glaucophylla - Sanchezia.
I had that Andy for years. Looked so exotic too. Lost it one winter where it was just too cold and wet too long. Great blooms too.
The more sun the better here.
