Not as many blooms as I would expect, but it is dim and winter. I've never had one of these and I'm pleased it is blooming for me off season like this anyway. :-)

Not having so many blooms means you can see each individual flower more clearly. It's very pretty and a lovely colour.

My Brynner ate my red one at xmas Gt.....LOL.....

Thanks. I'm hoping Brynner was okay after. Bianca just munched the flower which I think is less dangerous. Its a toxic plant, but I'm less worried now.

Thanks San. Soon as I saw her bite off the flower and start munching I was online. Its unusual for her anyway. Found a list of common toxic houseplants so I bookmarked it. Kalanchoe poisons the nervous system so they don't just get sick. Would be an interesting blog to put together. Find photos and link to blog with toxic listed plants. MMMmmm. An obsession. I need one. I was just laid off work. :-( Keeping chin up....but......yes, laid off.

so sorry about your job GT, hope something else comes up soon for you, think its hard times for alot of people, im very quiet at work since end of summer and doesnt look like picking up at all, so will you be growing your own veggies to this year to save money :o(

Growing Veg for sure. I'm gonna give this patch a real test. :-) I am getting an open schedule just as the greenhouses start up to, so even on the side, I can have something soooo fun to do and maybe carry home options. :-)

Great to have it blooming. I have a couple of them and they have never bloomed.

I think it was pleased to leave the bargain shelf at the garden section Mike. :-) I'm hoping to grow on and get another flush in summer. I haven't done anything special with it yet. :-)

I love getting plants off a bargain shelf. Some are half dead but they quickly revive with care.

I do too! Good price and they seem to appreciate it more. Often overlooked too, since I think many don't know what they're looking at without the bloom.

Thanks. I hope I get the classic Flaming Katy this summer. She'll reside in the greenhouse.

Thank you Homebird. I do like getting them tiny and watching them grow and develop, just for me. :-) I'm pleased so far, although I must keep it out of reach since Bianca has already bitten off a bit of bloom and this is a toxic plant. Odd, she never eats my plants.
