Kerria (Common Name: Jew's Mallow; Batchelor's Buttons)

Two years ago I planted this Kerria at the end of the footpath leading to the greenhouse. Not long after the fence had to be replaced with a fencing post sited right next to it, so it didn't have a very auspicious start in my garden. However it has shown what a determined plant it is, despite still being only one stem it has produced these delightful pompoms. I hope it will be happy right next to the compost bin and develop into a splendid clump.
