Royal Palms at the Catamaran Hotel, Mission Bay, San Diego, CA.
These palms are located across the street from the Pacific Ocean and experience salt burn on their lower fronds. Posted for my Palmate Mushybanna.

These palms are still relatively young. They still have a lot of growing to do.

Dottydaisy2:
Roystonea species - Royal Palms are fast, to very fast growing palms...however, they need a tropical to warm subtropical climate to grow and thrive.

They don't grow well in pots for long either.

Oh that has answered my next question........

Also, they're very difficult to grow outside a very hot greenhouse when young. Even here in San Diego very small seedling trees can die from continued cool weather outside in winter.

Sorry to put you off...however, Royal palms don't make good house plants.
They also have a very high light requirement.
