Ive had the large one since 03, one of the smaller ones since 02 and the other small one since 06. They dont grow much in the way of height in a year so they are probably quite old.

They looked well established, and they have survived these last two winters, how do you protect them?

I place straw in the crowns and then wrap fleece around their neck and in to the crown also.

I wish I had not tried to divide ours (thought it had two trunks) and promptly killed it!!! to buy a large one now would cost a fortune.

What a transformation the gate gives a completely new aspect to this area. It looks really good.
