How do you use the leaves as a veg. Arwadoo? And do they taste similar to anything I might eat?

Oh! The leaves are used in Pakoda making. Karensusane if u know what pokoda is, u can make nice pokados from the leaves of Bergenia.Bergenia grows on Rocky Mountains in the wild. Generally, people in remote areas make use of the leaves for pokoda makingin the Indian subcontenet. By the way, pokoda making is an art, onions, Spinach; cauliflower Nelambium rhizomes are used for this purpose. U can taste pakodas in any Indian sweets shops.

Ah, thank you, very interesting. I have a friend who is from Tamilnadu and I shall be asking her about it! I have never heard of it, or of Nelambium either, and sadly, we don't have any Indian sweet shops in this area that I know of......I will let you know if I manage to find one though! :))
