Is it a Harris hawk? My neighbour used to have one and I loved to watch him training it in the garden. Beautiful bird.

Hi Potty and Gee, glad you like him. I've since been told that it's an American red tailed hawk or chickenhawk.

No not at all Lori - they just love birds and keep him as a pet in this huge pen. Then also have barn owls and endless little garden birds ....
