Well, it's native to tropical Venezuela. It's a pretty tough shrub...however, is tender to cold and frost.

Okies, now... I have to convince Fernando, from Botanic Garden to give me a cutting... :o)
Any tips about how to take the cuttings from the plant... remember Fernando is an agronomist... I shall be very specific and persuasive... lol

1) Take more than one cutting

2) Semi-hardwood cutting will germinate only

3) Cutting sizes from 8in/20cm - 24in/60cm are best.

4) Plant in moist well-drained soil in semi-shade to shade

5) Should starting generating roots within a couple of weeks.

Cuttings grow extremely fast and roots may fill a small container very quickly.
