My large 15 year old Brazilian Red Cloak. Posted for my GoY friend, Aleyna. I think this photo was taken in November of 2008.

Thanks Palmate! Today I cut this plant back drastically. I started several cuttings this evening...which I'll sell in a couple of months. I'll post the cutting soon. : > )

I can see yours looks a bit lighter red then here.
Talking with Fernando he said is because theirs are in a shadow place.
I took a few other photos yesterday, will try post them later tonight after.

Actually, it's the lighting. The bracts are very dark scarlet. It's almost impossible to capture the true color of the bracts on this flowering shrub when blooming.
I cut this posted shrub back yesterday. I took several dozen cuttings...and still had a large trash can filled to the top with branches. It seems like such a waste. LOL!
