Nice to see this full size, so many of them as little juveniles in homes.

GT:

Yes, they are commonly sold as houseplants. Here they are very widely used as landscape shrubs or trees because of their drought tolerance.

Smart planting. They are tough things aren't they?

GT:

They're very tough...however, not hardy to cold at all.

Meanie:

In a pot they can grow to 8 feet / 2.5 meters tall in time

They grow relatively slow in a pot...however, in the ground they ground a little faster.

Four foot would be enough I think. I have a Marginata & a Bicolour.
I bought the Marginata in November & it has really grown over the winter in the conservatory. Your comment about drought tolerance was interesting as I've kept it pretty dry.

Meanie:

Just on my street there's many dozen trees...they don't seem to receive any water at all during summer and thrive. They live on the little rain we receive in winter.

Yes, it was full, also. They can grow pretty tall, but take a long time to fill out.
