Wow how lucky are you? As Jacque & FP say, it's a Green Woodpecker. Found some info in our bird book. Scientific name Picus Viridis. It's a male in your pic. Female doesn't have the red. Mainly feeds on the ground & apparently drums only rarely. Eats ants & ant pupae. Breeds April - June. Hope this helps. Gosh I am so envious - a unique picture to capture on camera. :o)
