Thank you Louise1 and TT! It wasn't really a holiday (though I know it looks like it! LOL ) I went to a conference on Caribbean Literature in Caratagena de Indias, Colombia, and at the end I stayed a little longer to enjoy the area (I always think: when am I ever going to come back to this place??) I wasn't too happy with the group I was with, but I refused to let that ruin my enjoyment of the area... = )

I know! well there are perks to studying the Caribbean for sure...! = )
