Be patient Uma you never know some seeds I know have taken 6 months to germinate and pop their heads up.

Have bought them in the garden centre beacause my husband adores coffee, coffee trees and everithing related to coffee! :)

As coffee is from a hot country originally, I would image it would need good heat to grow, some seeds you have to soak before planting, don't know if these do. It nice of you to think of your husband. : O )

Here is a link I found for you, it does say to soak them perhaps thats why you were getting nothing, hope this link helps you.
