Ha ha yes Sandra. These are looking quite good even though I say so myself...lol. I split a bulb of garlic that I bought from the supermarket and planted the single cloves in this pot. You had better not come too near after we have eaten them though. Someone told me that it is the green section out of the middle of the clove that makes your breath smell (not that I breathed over them at the time...lol). Have you or anyone else heard of that one before? :-))

no not heard that before richard, while chopping it seems the whole thing smells strong, not so bad if you all eat it but when just one person its awfull lol

yes that's true Sandra. I have heard that eating parsley helps but I suppose the best remedy is not to eat it if you are going somewhere special ...lol eg up the allotment! :-)

I planted a couple more cloves in the pot today Sandra as there were a few gaps, so they will come up later after we have picked the rest. It is nice to go out for a meal now and again isn't it - and see how the other half lives!

We tend to go for a meal more often in the summer Sandra, and now we can go in the lunchtime, as we have both finished working. Like you we tend not to go out too much in the winter when it is cozy at home. I miss the gardening in the winter though-its not quite the same reading seed catalogues instead ..lol :-)

i dont read catalogues richard, rather go look in nurserys or garden centres :o)

I was reading about the water table on the net and it is higher in the winter Sandra. I cant see a problem if you empty the pond, put in a liner straight away and then refill it, :-)
