Are these possibly male and female siskins? I know the one with his back to us is but wondered if the one facing the camera is the female?

Yes you do megan. The seeds are very small and their beaks are to so the feeder has smaller than average holes to feed from. They are actually marked up as Nyger seed feeders in the relevant places. I put ours up last year with no results but since moving it lower this year......BINGO!!
How cool would that be San? And the sparrows up in the guttering! Turning out ot be a productive year:0))

Lovely to have a pair, OB. I've a couple of dunnocks chasing each other round the garden like Tom & Jerry, fascinating to watch :)

I can't answer that, but could you tell me if Nyger seed needs a special type of feeder ?
