I think most blocal blacksmiths could make one but I wouldn't like to pay for it, Lol

A very old chap from the next village once told me that it would probably have been made quite locally on account of it's age. If you look carefully you can see the extra bit I welded onto the bottom to stop Barnaby going 'walkabout' again. The gate is extremely heavy and I had to wait for the postman to help turn it up-side-down.

It is a beautiful piece of ironwork , we are lucky that we have a couple of blacksmiths locally , I have a nice tall wrought iron gate that fits into an arch made by one ...... there are some beautiful gates as you drive into the town not unsimilar to yours Heron ,near the traffic lights , I always sit and look at them and am surprised that in these days they haven't ' walked ' .......
