I just love the smell of these Imperialis. It's what I call a wafter. Some flowers you can bend & smell immediately, others, waft on the breeze & not when you put your nose to them.

A lovely look, a little darker that many I've seen. I like it. Wafter is a good name for it. I've heard this isn't one you want to stick you nose into anyhow. Probably better letting the smell drift about in the air.

I love this plant: they are at there best at Kew at the moment, real showstoppers.

Gorgeous flowers...I dont have much success with them....They grow lovely leaves ..then shrivel and die..:<((
