Found these today in a local £1 store. With a suffix like Deppei, had to get them, but will have to get them planted tomorrow if they are to do anything this year.

David, this year have got some bulbs of this plant. Planted them tree weeks ago, growing well and very lovely!
Have a thought as for the ethymology of the suffix "deppei" in the name of this plant. There was a german naturalist, Ferdinand Deppe, who travelled to Mexico. Isn't it a clue? - because Oxalis deppei is from Mexico! :) Just my thoughts...Hope this info help you...:)

Used some quick lateral thinking here! Well, Johnny Depp does play Jack Sparrow in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies! Was also attracted by the "Garden treasures" logo, lol! Unfortunately, my Google searches so far have only pointed to the actor, but no explanation for the deppei suffix.
