awww bless him carol, looks so tiny x

Sandra he is only half the size he was, sometimes he as really bad days then all of a sudden he picks up, infact apart from him walking down the garden today, he managed to wash himself abit aswell.

so sad carol, poor smokey

It is, sometimes i dont know if i'm doing the right thing, but then sometimes although he looks terrible, he does things that cats do when they are well. If you know what i mean..

yes i know carol,, and i know if you thought he was in pain you would do the right thing, so while he is ok and happy with you, keep him close ;o))x

I know and your right, i'm watching him 24/7, and also the vet will know when its time.

bless him..I know what you mean as i went through the same feelings with my Archie...he also liked to sit in the sun on his better days...

Your Smokey is so much like my Ollie he brought me a mouse the other day,nice to see Smokey enjoying the sunshine I lost my Garfield last year but like you with Smokey he stayed at home with me , he enjoyed his last spring /summer being spoilt and doing all his favourite things it made me feel better.

Thanks Mavis and Megan, i am sure this will be Smokey's last spring, but on Friday he will be 18, he was born a few doors away from where i use to live and can remember saying these kittens will be named George or Georgenia, as it was St Georges day.

Oh i know how you are feeling Clarice, i had the same with our old cat Socks, he was 18 too, and got very thin towards the end, i had him to the vet as he started drinking lots of water and eating a lot even though he was thin, vet gave him some tablets but they didn't do much good really, i came home one day to find him curled up 'asleep', bless him he is still much missed as he was such a character.

So sorry to hear about Socks, Smokey will be 18yrs on friday, he as good days and bad days.
