I'm checking you photo San .. I bought one of these plants at the weekend , I wasn't sure what it was as the writing on the label wasn't very good , it is the same name , I hope I can keep it alive as it needs to be moist according to the site i've been looking at , my hubby has found a big plastic container He is going to sink it into the ground for me then I can keep watering it .. :o))

sounds a good plan amy, mine in raised border and only gets sun late afternoon and always seems moist compared to rest of garden, i only water when i do the rest and it seems very happy there, i think as long as not in full sun they do ok, good luck

Thanks San . I will try not to worry about it too much .... it only cost me £ 2.50 at the National trust garden centre at Blickling Hall , is that good ?

Do you cover the crown in the winter ?

nope nothing and was fine amy, mind you i always leave dead foilage on all my plants till warmer weather so guess that helps
