We saw this Scarecrow on our canalside walk this morning, We were told by the owner it was his atttempt to scare off the gang of 30 Canadian Geese who congregate in his garden every evening!

While watching a wild life program on polar bears, the chap was told taking the photos of the bear with cubs, he was advised, if the mother notices you, your only defence is to open your coat as wide as you can and stand still, as this is the only known defence with out a seditive as he was left with no protection, this is to make you look as big as you can, so perhaps you could tell the people to open his coat on the scarecrow.
