A fairly young Royal Poinciana blooming close to downtown San Diego, CA. Photo taken July 26, 2009. Unfortunately a photo can never do justice to the beautiful bright deep red/orange flowers of the Royal Poinciana tree.

Very true! I'm hoping with my new camera I can capture the red/orange flowers a little better this year.

Will look forward to seeing even better photos now then?

Dottydaisy2:
I hope they bloom well this year! Delonix regia doesn't like cool wet spring conditions. They usually start to bloom from late June to middle of July here when it's hot and humid and very dry.
