Is that a Loquat I see lurking in the shadows?! I've grow some from seed - is yours planted outside?

Yes, it is a Loquat. It was about 4 feet tall when we bought it and is planted outside. It has survived the last three winters with no damage.

That's very reasuring, thank you. I grew several from seed last year and the biggest one is nearly 3ft tall. The one problem I've had is that it seems to be a magnet for catapillars - they are little ones that curl the leaf around them with silk. They tatter the leaves if I don't keep an eye out, even tho they're just tiny catapillars. It ruins the look of the nice big leaves.
