I have a perennial St.John's in the top and everbearing strawberries in the bottom. On the side are Chives and wild onion grass.

like this! I have a three-tier indoor fountain that had the pump and motor dropped so it doesn't work any more; I did think of putting it outdoors as a static water display, but planting it as yours would be a very good idea, which I'm happy to steal - er, adapt!
Of course, I could try gettijg an outdoor motor and pump!
I'd not heard of ever-bearing strawberries; I'll have to check them out.
