Veg patch thriving at last
Comments on this photo
How I wish mine looked like that. I just haven't got the knack yet. Any useful tips. I have sown some carrott seeds (small round carrotts) and they have come up but no idea how to thin and plant them up in the raised bed. Instructions on the pack are just too damned tricky! My salad leaves are growing (only because they were well sturdy when I put them in) but my spring onions haven't surfaced yet and they have been in for at least 3-4weeks, should they be showing yet???

Thankyou both. Sorry havent any tips Virgin as ive never grown veg before. All I did was planted seed in trays, then grew the best on in modules, then put them in ground. and hey presto it worked. lol

Well, some success....I've just eaten some of the salad leaves as well as the rocket! I'll let you know if I feel okay tomorrow, lol. My spring onions are just begining to peep through, the chillies are looking quite healthy but the aubregine (sorry about the spelling?) is a bit withered! I'm enjoying it (when the sun shines....I don't like it when it's chilly), so maybe my enthusiasm will get results??
