Thanks all ... this is one of those plants we take for granted here. They're rather common and most people don't like them because of the mess when all their gorgeous blooms drop off!

Is it like a Bottle Brush tree?
They grow here but I only see red ones. We have them out front & yes they are messy. A single flower is nicer than looking at the whole tree.
