Can anyone tell me what var this is? It's a very small one, probably species and could be cyclameneus?

Oh well, as you say, it's lovely anyway!

I think you are close in saying N. cyclameneus. The reflexed petals suggest that but it could be N. triandrus if it is multi-headed. JB

Thank you jbardet, I shall look into it a bit when I have time!

Had a look JB but to be honest, there are just so many varieties that I don't have the energy to trawl through them all! I think this one will stay unidentified! Another one opened up yesterday and I don't have a clue about it either! I shall have to be content just to have them as 'dwarf narcissus' on my garden page! How are things progressing in n.yorks? Everything is very late here and I can't believe it is 5th May already...the garden looks more like mid april.

Hi Karen, Yes, spring seemed to arrive a fortnight late this year but was a welcome releif after that winter!

Yes, isn't it just! We still have spring here in Angus and at this rate it will be spring until June and then Autumn usually arrives in August!!
