Your garden is beautful ...lots of different areas to explore !

It was just like a field when we moved here 31 years ago, added bits on year by year, or should I say taken grass up and planted in flowers in place of it.
It is hard work - but I love my garden and enjoy spending as much time in it as possible. I keep changing things around and moving things about (as they say a change is as good as a rest)

It's true, it was a field! Geese in it and everything! a few primroses in the ditch, a couple of gooseberry bushes, nothing else that I can recall......amazing how you have transformed it...still think you could be opening it up mum!

Oh dear I had forgotten about the gooseberry bushes, but yes you are right,
no geese allowed now, even the chickens have their own little plot, they were lovely when they had free range, used to love seeing them, but the fox was too quick for the poor wee things, they are too lovely to let him have his evil way, so they have a new pen and a new run, they enjoy it just the same and I don't have to trim their pen 'cos they do it for me. lol ah the memories! All good even when the bird was flying around the house and you were in your nightie and the postman came ah ah ah!!! How is your memory now girl. lol my socks off I did!! still do, mice in the house memories too, I could go on but your dignity will take a plunge if I do. Bless! hope the rest of my days are as funny as the last few years and hope that the memory is still intact for a bit longer eh!!

After watching some of the garden experts walking around and viewing and not allowing visitors because of pond edges being visible and hazardous canal sides etc. I don't think they would allow visitors in my garden, too many dykes for the non too wary visitor to fall into and the pond edge is showing, also the wood isn't fenced off might be too spooky for them, I think I will remain closed to the public I would not be able to stand the inspectors criticising it would be too traumatic. I love my garden and enjoy my peace time sitting there think though that the Pimms might be given a go. How much sugar is in it? lol that could be the only downfall eh!

Oh well I totally understand not wanting to go through the yellow book la-di-da...but you could still open it on your own....for your own choice of charity.....you don't have to be in the yellow book to open your garden up....btw...what dignity? Can't think I've ever been very dignified, certainly never felt very dignified! I don't mind you telling everyone about me climbing the wall to avoid treading on the mouse, or about me running across a golf course being chased by a whole crowd of freesians, or those horrible viscious geese who would have your arm off as soon as look at you!!

Will think about it - could maybe combine it with a cricket club pavilion money raiser and bbq, now that is a good idea - well done Karen Sue. Will talk to the committee about that one whilst sitting on the bank tomorrow, hopefully not freezing like I did last weekend.
