Hi Brlpr, Just realized I didn't tag this pic...sorry...these are golden Appledoorn tulips...This is a good first step when putting in a garden get some bulbs for early spring but there are bulbs that flower in the summer and fall too. Bulbs, corms, and rhizomes are easy care, quick to put in, and it's not hard to master the after care for them. Find yourself a catalogue...usually local nurseries will have a pamphlet to browse...but if not... go on the internet...and google whatever plant you're interested in... this growsonYou site is wonderful for that... people post pictures of their flowers and info for anyone who would like to grow them... Next time you sign in click on the 'news' tab, or members or blogs...and just have fun reading the chatter. If you'd like to grow some of these you just have to ask for "Appledoorn" tulips...there are plenty of colours and types to choose from...so just dig in and have fun...
Welcome to this site..I know you'll have and much fun as I do, and you'll make some gardening friends too.
