Hibiscus on Standard

This is a gorgeous standard hibiscus we have at work. Huge saucer size blooms. But hold on to your britches, in Alaska a hibiscus like this $140! I don't have the luck with these to brave that.

ilove Hibiscus.... i did a swap with a friend last year and got a lovely big shrub for nothing....

Thank you for commenting. :-) I love hibiscus but tried one that didn't come through a few years back. I had gotten a deal. Great you had someone to swap with Holly. It is uncommon up here, these standards will go to a business most likely to be tossed a the end of the season.

WOW!! $140.00!! That's incredibly expensive! I hate to tell you how much they cost here in San Diego.

I know, insane pricing right? I suppose if it is already grown elsewhere and shipped at this size, before freezes have past.......Shipping can be a huge cost here. More amazing is we will have maybe one if any left by July. The price is paid.

That is amazing that anyone would pay such a price...however, if the demand is there...people will pay the price. : > )
A Hibiscus that size would cost around $15.00 - $20.00 here in San Diego.
