This plant looked horrible due to being in constant shadow from overgrown conifers. They were cut down this year and it has flourished since.

Wow, what a beautiful plant, removing the conifer's certainly made this a very happy plant !

not sure of the pronunciation of your GoY name......Lol.
Pieris do seem to flourish when given more light.
I moved some from shade to a brighter area by a wall, and they are loving their new location !
