Wildlife area

This is how the wildlife area and pond look today 16 days after it was made. Some plants are flowering, not very much is happening as its quite cold. Christina this ones for you hun.

thanks oddbillie, I was thinking that my little pond is not wide enough, and it doesnt blend in with the rest of the garden.

Mine is only a small pond so don't despair. I think it works because like me, you've kind of sectioned that area with the small trellis around the edge thus creating an area seperate from the rest of the garden.
It will look even better next year, mark my words!!Once the planting starts to spread, it will soften the lines of the bricks and you will forget they are there.

yeah maybe I'll like it more when it all knits together, All I see at the mo is harsh lines. But as you say they will soften.

its amazing!!!!!!!! its looks over grown now and to think i couldn't wait for everything to grow!!!! I will take a picture for you at the week end

When I put our pond down last year, I felt it looked somewhat contrived to a degree but after 8-9 months, it has taken on its own identity as things have grown, died and grown again.
Yours already looks great and will only get better with time:o))
