No, this is ordinary rhubarb, and indeed, the flowers can grow very tall.
I have always heard that you are not allowed to let them bloom, that they suck all the juice and strength from the plant, I do not know whether it's true.
A nice flower it is, but I've cut it off just now.

mine budded up and i did not no they looked like this so cut it of ,think i will leave it in future.

is this the ornamental rubarb ,is the white the flower. i have just got 1 and not sure wot its flowers r like, i was told they can b 3 meters high.
