This clump has survived the winter. The others I had appear to have died... are they easy to propagate?

Many thanks for the advice - though it was only the one clump in my gravel that has gone the other in a much more shaded part of gravel in front of the house surprisingly survived!

You can take cuttings now until July or divide in the autumn Clematisa. They like well drained chalky/alkaline soil. Mine didnt do well in the rockery as they need a humous rich soil rather than gritty, since I put them in containers they have done better.
