camera shy

WOW......

she is over 12" long and last time we weighed her she was just over 2lb 11oz.

What is it looks a bit like a catfish from here.I have a Golden Tench that sort of age cant say i know its birthday .lol

it is a tench, the wild type. It was removed from dregded weed from a fishing pond this month back in 1981. She came home in hubby's thermos with another 11 of the hatchlings. Over the first year in a tank 6 survived and until two yeras ago we had one of her sisters too.

I have some rudd which breed in my pool but the larger fish eat nearly all of them,unfortunatly there is no plant cover the Koi eat it as soon as i put it in.and yes i do feed them theare like Hoovers or should i say Dysons these days

thats typical of Koi. that was why we got rid of ours. they also ate about £7 worth of food a week. apart from the tench we just have goldfish. every year we have 5-15 survivors of the spawing.

My favourite fish. I love fishing for these aswell as they put up such a great fight.

A grand old age...talking of which...Hun passed away yesterday...peacefully.She will be missed.....
