Garden Spider and Bergenia

Usually I find him in the fall in the rudbeckia, here it is up on the tall bergenia stalk in spring. What does it do up there?

Its a little gross I think. But we haven't many that are even this large and exotic, so its still fun to see him.

The itsy bitsy spiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiider....Climbed up the "flower sprout" ... lol
that's what she was doing up there... watching the view for a new little house...
we have to agree she gots a good taste for choosing house's spot.

It is a lovely spot to set up shop. It comes out just to hunt I think. Bold thing, like its coloring.
