You struggle with Gloriosa & yet get this display!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the 5 or 6 years since planting my Brugmansia seed I've not had one flower!
The smell must be heavenly.

Meanie:

Yes, all my many dozens of Angel Trumpets are very fragrant...especially at night. Thia variety 'Super Nova' has the largest known flower of any Angel's Trumpet.

Brugmansia varieties are never planted from seed here...only from cuttings. I think seed-grown plants take too long to flower. My Angel's Trumpets produce big seed pods all the time...but I never harvest them.

Gloriosa lily doesn't grow well for me because of the soil. It likes a less rocky soil.

Mageth:

Thanks! This plant blooms almost every month of the year. It sometimes will not bloom in the blasting heat of summer though.

Palmate, I'm sure you can smell the scent even in England...they're so fragrant.

Marguerite:

I have several varieties of Angels Trumpets. They are very popular shrubs here...most people are familiar with their toxicity. I use gloves when trimming this plant back. : > )
